It is an economical wire with good abrasion and impact resistance The deposit is non-machineable but can be shaped by grinding. Typical applications include: excavator blades, bucket lips, bucket teeth, screw conveyors, crushing mills and shear blades. Used in particular to hardface and repair for the hard surfacing of steel components subjected to wet or dry hard particle abrasion to moderate impact loading. The deposited material can be subjected to grinding or processed with special tools.
