Description
Premium Nickel Arc Welding Electrodes WELDarc Castweld 99 Nickel Iron (98% Ni) is a graphite nickel type electrode, used in repair and maintenance welding of cast irons. Its nickel filler material deposited metal shows excellent mechanical properties and crack resistance, a good colour match to most cast irons. This electrode is an excellent high nickel alloy material for the build up and the joining of cast iron. Preheating and post heating may apply in some applications. Classification: AWS:A 5.15 ENi-C1 Features and Benefits: Soft, Ductile and Machineable Nickel Deposit. Easy starting and Stable Running. Smoother Weld Deposit Surface Finish. Exceptional arc stability High strength nickel deposit All positional Welding of ductile cast irons Machinable deposits Applications Repair and reclamation of engine blocks, cylinder heads, differential housings, Pump Housings, Cast Iron Pulley Maintenance Welding of Cast Irons etc. ENiCI Nickel Castweld 99 welding electrode is designed for welding gray iron castings to themselves as well as joining them to mild or stainless steels. It is also used to repair castings. With the high nickel content, the welds are easily machined. A Preheat and interpass temperature of not less than 350°F is recommended during welding. Recommended Minimum 50 OCV DC +/- or AC Typical Mechanical Properties(as welded): Tensile Strength: 430MPa Vicker: (Hv)30/193 Typical All Weld Metal Analysis: C: 1.0% Mn: 0.05% Fe: 0.5% Si: 0.1% Al: 0.2% Ni: Bal NOTE: This electrode is more machinable than the 55 Keep Dry - Re-Drying/Conditioning temperatures of 300-350°C for 1 hour. Re-drying should be restricted to a maximum of three cycles. Warning: • Electric shock can kill • Always wear eye protection • Protect yourself and others around you • Use enough ventilation for both arc and fume source • Fumes and gases are dangerous to your health • Arc rays can injure your eyes and burn skin
