Tig Wire Cobalt 6 2.4mm ECoCr-A (Sold Per KG)
PRODUCT ENQUIRY
Description
Features and Benefits:
Also known as Stellite 6
Cobalt 6 wire produces a medium hardness cobalt-chromium deposit for high temperature applications with good abrasive wear and good impact resistance, the most versatile and widely used cobalt alloy with a good balance of abrasion and impact resistance.
Chromium carbides contained in the deposit, have excellent resistance to many forms of chemical and mechanical degradation, including galling and cavitation erosion.
It bonds well with all weldable steels, including stainless.
Grade 6 Cobalt type high recovery cobalt based wire designed to combat all four elements of wear, i.e. heat, impact, corrosion and abrasion. Most suitable of cobalt range where impact is the most predominant of the four elements of wear.
Excellent for rebuilding corners with minimum base metal dilution. Has ability to overlay extensive areas without cracking. Will retain hardness at high temperatures. The welds are machinable. Recommended for use in iron and steel industries. Suitable for use on shear blades, dies, punches and all applications where good resistance to heat, impact, corrosion and abrasion is
required.
Less tendency to crack than Cobalt 12 in multiple layer, and more resistant than stellite 21 in abrasion and metal to metal conditions.
Melting Range 1280-1390
Applications:
Hard surfacing of valve seats, forging dies, crushers, hammer, edges, cutting knives and blowers.
Cobalt 6 is ideally suited for a wide range of hardfacing processes and can be machined with carbide tooling
