Welding Procedure:
It is Recommended to use DC straight polarity however DC+ and AC can be used with this electrode. Remove all damaged or fatigued metal. Preheating is generally not required. However, for high carbon Low alloyed steels and cast iron, a preheat of approximately (200>400°C) is recommended depending on thickness and composition of material. Maintain a short to medium arc using a weave technique. Remove slag. Slowly cool in still air after surfacing.
Recommended Current: -DC+DC or AC
Weld Deposit Properties:
Hardness as Deposited/60-65 HRC
Deposit Thickness/1-3 Passes
Deposits are non-machinable Grind Only
