MIGarc Mig Welding Wire 308LSI Solid Stainless Steel
PRODUCT ENQUIRY
Description
All Positional Stainless Steel Mig/Mag Wire For Welding 304 Stainless Steel Low carbon 18%Cr-8%Ni
MIGarc 308 LSI Is a stainless steel MIG wire with high silicon levels to improve arc characteristics and weld pool fluidity, and flatten weld bead profile Low carbon increases resistance to corrosion and maintains mechanical properties, it is used for general purpose applications where corrosion conditions are moderate.
Used mostly in the industry for welding 304 stainless steel or joining the more common austenitic stainless steel grades referred to as 18-8 steels
Features and Benefits:
Silicon Content Improves Wetting Behaviour
Good Operator Appeal
Moderate Corrosion Resistance
Excellent Arc stabillity with bead wetout
Current Conditions:
DC (+)
Shielding Gas:
Ar+2%C02 or Ar+5%C02
Argon/helium could also be used to prevent oxidation of the weld metal.
